Homeschool Booktalks

Event Type: Family Library Programs
Date: 3/1/2013
Start Time: 2:30 PM
End Time: 3:00 PM
During the last thirty minutes of the Homeschool Science Lab (2:30-3:00), there will be a presentation on how to write and present a booktalk. A booktalk is a 1-3 minutes advertisement for a book with a hook. Almost like a book report, a booktalk entices the audience and leaves them wanting to read the book to hear the ending! We will also give a few fun examples!

At the next Homeschool Science Lab on Friday, March 15, homeschool students will have the opportunity to present booktalks they have written to other students and families.

Grades 5-12 are encouraged to participate.
