Hello,

Thank you for your interest in teaching at the library. We have a program presenter application with information for presenters, as well as the information that we need to begin evaluating potential programs. It is available here: https://ppld.org/program-presenter-application.

You can also teach classes at the library on your own by booking a meeting room. This link, https://ppld.librarymarket.com/reserve-room, will take you to the area where you can reserve a room and also provide information on the meeting room policy.

Thank you.

Yes, we have offered Rainwater harvesting in the past and we will probably do it again in the future. We typically do a variety of gardening/sustainable living classes in the Spring so we will keep this in mind. Thank you!

Hi there. I'm sorry, I'm not sure of which search engine you are referring. Please clarify and I'll do my best to assist you.

I've been taking Spanish classes as a guest and just signed up with my name and email account (ppld) but now I cant' find the Mango class under Learn on Demand. Where did it go?

Where can I find Sign Language class, I know everything is closed during the corona, but is there any school or private classes for Sign Language/. Thank you

Hi, many organizations and classes are closed right now. The Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind offers basic sign language courses. You can find more information here - https://www.csdb.org/articles/american-sign-language-classes/. This page also includes many other resources for learning sign language. UCCS offers an online course. You can find more information here - https://www.ed2go.com/uccs/online-courses/learn-sign-language.

Hi, thank you for your question. We have offered French conversation groups in the past. We are not currently able to offer any programs in person. We will consider offering French in the future when we resume in person programming. In the meantime, please feel free to check out Mango Languages - https://ppld.org/databases/all?keys=mango. It offers online learning for many languages including French. Thank you.

Do you have ASL, American Sign Language class?

Thank you for your question. We have offered an ASL class for adults in the past and will definitely consider adding another when our programs resume in person. The Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind currently offers community ASL classes. More information is available here: https://csdb.colorado.gov/asl-community-classes

PPLD does host an ASL storytime - Once Upon a Sign - one session for infants 0-3 and another session for ages 4+. More information and registration is available here: https://ppld.librarymarket.com/events/month/2021/04?keywords=once%20upon...

I have a small group of ladies who want to do a mixed media class - are there any instructors/teachers out there who would be interested in leading this?

Hello, please feel free to send us your contact information and we can forward that to any potential instructors to get in touch with you if they are interested in providing a class. You can send your contact information to rcruz@ppld.org.

Is there any way to download the Lynda videos? Since they are under Linkedin, I have been unable to figure out how to download them. Hope you can help!

Hi Ann,

Here are instructions for downloading the videos:

*Download the LinkedIn Learning app (this is free)
*Click on Sign in
*Tap “Sign in with your library card”
*When it asks for the library ID, type: pikespeak (it will end up completing this sign-in web address: https://www.linkedin.com/learning-login/go/pikespeak)
*Enter your library card number and 4 digit pin
*The app will open up access to all courses
*You will now be able to download videos/courses to your mobile device

Please contact us if any other questions come up!

We do not have any excel classes scheduled at the moment. We do offer a self-paced online training called Northstar Digital. If you visit this page it provides instructions on how to create your account and start your own training in Excel. https://research.ppld.org/c.php?g=552182&p=8254286 If you have any trouble, you can submit a request assistance through the Ask a Librarian page at https://ppld.org/ask. We are hoping to expand our computer and open lab offerings in late fall.
