Bonnie,
The Pikes Peak Library District actually houses the El Pomar Nonprofit Resource Center (EPNRC) at the Penrose Library, 20 N. Cascade Ave. The EPNRC has books and resources on a variety of nonprofit topics, such as board management, grant writing, and social media. Here is a link to additional information http://ppld.org/epnrc. You can also find a list of the EPNRC workshops at this link http://ppld.org/nonprofit-workshops. The workshops offered at the library are free, but registration is required and that information is included with each class listed.
Finally, as the El Pomar Nonprofit Resource Center Librarian, I am available to meet with you to answer specific questions you may have. My email address is tsayles@ppld.org.

How to Write Successful Fundraising Letters
Our mission is to provide a home library of ten books to Head Start/Preschool students in the Arkansas and San Luis valleys.
2018 PROJECT: to provide 4,240 books to 424 Head Start/Preschool students in Alamosa and Monte Vista. We purchase books from BAREFOOT PUBLISHERS discounted 70% with free shipping. We order in quantities of 800 or more as a 501(c)3.
FAST FORWARD TO LITERACY is and has always been (2005) 100% voluntarily based with 0 operating expenses.
www.fftl-books.org, 6751 CR 107, Salida, CO 81201. 2017 we gifted over 3,000 books to programs in the San Luis Valley. This year I have written a grant to The Southern Community Foundation in Pueblo. We have almost $3,000 in assets. Can you help us in any way? With kindest regards, Corinne Schieman, Founder/Director

Writing Successful Fundraising/Grant applications
Connie,
GrantSpace.org has a free self-paced training, Introduction to Proposal Writing, available at http://grantspace.org/training/courses/introduction-to-proposal-writing/. They also have a knowledge base that provides access to several nonprofit document examples, including fundraising letters and grant applications. The knowledge base is free to use. You may also want to check out the various resources listed on the Grant Research guide available at http://research.ppld.org/grants. Pueblo City-County Public Library has access to the Foundation Directory Online at their main branch, which would be a little closer to you than Colorado Springs. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me directly at tsayles@ppld.org.

Grant Writer for local non-profit
I have visited the Non-Profit Resource Center at Penrose: Great "resource"! I would like to take advantage of the free training workshops and other information as well. Please add me to the listsserv, thanks.

No listserv available
Rachelle,
We no longer maintain a listserv for the Robert Hilbert Nonprofit Resource Center. If you click on the workshops tab just below the Robert Hilbert Nonprofit Resource Center title this reply is on, and close the request for branch location, all of the nonprofit workshops will appear. We will have a limited number for the summer appearing shortly. A majority of the classes are offered September - November and March - May. If you have specific questions, feel free to contact me directly at tsayles@ppld.org.
